Andrew James Hamilton


Andrew James Hamilton is curator of Arts of the Americas at the Art Institute of Chicago. He is also a lecturer in the Department of Art History at the University of Chicago. He is the author and illustrator of The Royal Inca Tunic: A Biography of an Andean Masterpiece (Princeton University Press, 2024) and Scale & the Incas (Princeton University Press, 2018), in addition to numerous book chapters and articles. His work has been recently supported by the Lilly Endowment, the Getty, the American Council of Learned Societies, and Dumbarton Oaks, among other institutions.
